Holiday Harvest Sour

This cocktail is inspired by  a cognac cocktail called the Thin Pink Line from bartender Sean Fennelly at Milk and Honey in London. However, in my riff called the Holiday Harvest Sour,  the peach whiskey and brown sugar syrup gives it a really nice holiday flare and a little more depth, while still being light and incredibly drinkable. The egg white and Orgeat (locally made by Ryan Manning’s company Bardaddy) leave you with an extremely soft of velvety cocktail with just enough fruit in the profile to keep it light. The Holiday Harvest Sour is a frothy dream and really showcases the amazing flavor of the peach whiskey.

Imperial Bash

This cocktail is an easy sipper, inspired by a traditional bourbon lemonade. The Pennellen works so great with this flavor profile because it is a lighter amaro that works well with multiple types of spirits to create balance and cut through sourness. The inherent citrus notes in the Pennellen marries super well with this drink in particular! One of the most important aspects of this cocktail is using fresh ingredients to keep the flavor profile balanced and consistent. Using fresh citrus rather than a pre-made lemonade makes all the difference! Rinsing the glass with absinthe before pouring the cocktail adds a great aroma and adds a nice finish to the complexity of the cocktail. Adding multiple citrus juices creates more depth to the cocktail as well.

Salt Lake Snow Maiden

This holiday cocktail is great year round - but perfect for a cold day. The Snow Angel Kummel is so soft and well-rounded, that I wanted to add other flavors that would keep that softness front and center. The spiced cider adds some sweetness, and the honey simple syrup keep the flavors balanced. The port float really pulls this cocktail together add depth and a dry finish.
