Our first TOADSTOOL™ Amaro, NOTOM, is based on a forgotten Kräuterlikör ("Herbal Liqueur") recipe from the Czech and German frontier. We have named it after Notom, a sleepy desert hamlet which is your first stop after leaving the main road and heading towards the remote parts of the Waterpocket Fold.

Aromatic Anise, Peppermint, and Galanga are balanced with bittering agents to create a compelling and delicious digestif. Best served chilled and neat.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rhubarb, Clove, Fennel and a hint of peppermint

Flavor: A warm bittering wave of honeyed gentian, followed by a pronounced and complex bittering notes of gentian and rhubarb in the middle of the palate, quickly softened by a cassia and clove-dominated wave of aromatics, finishes with a mild sweetness and a mechanical warming of throat and stomach.

Proof: Bottled at 40% Alcohol / 80 proof. No colors added.
